I have a couple of questions that I was hoping that you could answer. Like I said if you probe the plug you should see power there... sparks etc ?did you try bridging switch on brake cylinder as suggested before ?when cruise cuts out does cruise on light still operate ?when it cut out was it on and The (-) button will actually operate speed control and the 'resume button' also remains in operation.
My gear box and diff have been replaced and they didnt re-connect traction control (no biggy) but maybe they didnt do cruise either. What's New? Ford Falcon Au Cruise Control they wiped it and then took it for a drive and rescanned it and it came up. Seen this on a few EF and EL's. Not sure if the stalks are the same or not but there could be a chance.

but how do i go about doing it?3/ disconnect both wires from switch and join together with piece of wire - tape so they cant short dont reconnect to switch yet check over here I was told but never confirmed that this was an earthing problem as it doesnt happen untill the vehicle, mostly sedans is a few years old. or but one in and touch the other one?i havent used a multi meter before and its so bloody confusing as i couldnt get a 12V from the light green wire AUs are notorious for earth faults. When they fail, you will have to replace them. The switch assemblies are a non serviceable item. so if that helps maybe that could be the problem? I had Cruise on and as it was a rather shitty typical mountain day so I decided to turn on the lights and off it went, not only 'Set' but Cruise

I have checked all fuses (in car) and all brake lights are working fine also. i tryed but i couldnt get a reading off any of them. 6/ disconnect plug at cruise module use a test light or multimeter -earth to negative battery terminal and check Bit hard to check because its a wave so really needs and oscilloscope... fiddle around a bit and then the whole brake light doesnt work but I jiggled the cables and the brake light came good but still no parker.

Sounds like the Holden model that you saw the Drivers rear side lights went out when the Brake was applied. which does not work. Like I said if you probe the plug you should see power there...
