found the solution on some forum - Go to realtek manager in control panel. But basically you have it set for Digital Audio, Your headphones are not DIGITAL, they are analog so you need to change it back to Speaker/HD Audio Output for your headphones. Else I would say it's some faulty frontpannel connectors, but you say that before reinstalling all was fine... It has always worked for me. System keeps displaying that they are installed but not connected. Since some time, the HD audio drivers keeps on detecting/undetecting a device plugged in my front jack (resulting is sound cutoff, which is more than annoying)....
