It worked on a computer with XP pro sp3, but when I took it to a computer with sp2, it did not work...( I have not tryed going back to the Freecom Support You can but another brand of enclosure for $20. Mine was an 80gig model too.I rang Freecom who will replace it free even though it is just out of warranty but they need it back. Fix it in the New Year (2013 not 2014+...), or sell it or Freecycle it.
