I tried: making sure volume is up, turning off firewall and Adblock, disabling and enabling various Plugins and made sure they are up to date, clearing cache and cookies and making Jun 18, 2012 8:22 AM (in response to tranklz) After updating to Flash 11.3 I did not have sound in Firefox, Chrome or Safari. If you're on PC anyway, don't know if this works for mac.

All my drivers are up to date, and everything else works fine. The thing is that the test workes fine in IE 9 but not in Chrome19 in my Vista machine.
I tried most of the solutions in those sites. I finally solved it by uninstalling Flash Player (using a special tool downloaded by Adobe), deleting a bunch of files created by Flash Player in various locations on my computer, and Adobe Flash No Sound Firefox Spent hours trying to get this to work correctly.Odd that Flash Player isn't going into Applications - going on the desk top. Adobe Flash Player No Sound Chrome Sound worked for everything except Flash/YouTube.

I think I have determined that the source of this problem was a conflict between Flash 11.3 and my sound card, which is a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE. Uninstalling and reinstalling Flash Player 18.104.22.168 didn't fix it. I think they have volume controls for each file format ! I ended up plugging the speakers in a 7.1 slot ( I guess). Everything I read to do was wrong.
